ITV Loose Women stars fail to 'hide fury'

Loose Women panellists were spotted with painted fake smiles after hiding their “loser faces” as they hosted the popular ITV show following the National Television Awards on Wednesday night. Kaye Adams kicked off the programme and immediately addressed the huge snub.

During Thursday’s instalment, she told viewers: “So last night, my goodness, what a night it was.” Firstly she credited co-star Stacey Solomon who won the gong for Factual Entertainment category.

In a bitter admission, Kaye, 61, continued: “Meanwhile Denise and I were sitting next to each other practising our loser faces.”

Turning to her co-star Denise Welch she shared that she was “particularly good”. However, Demise, 66, admitted that following years of agonising turmoil and getting their hopes up she had “given up”.

The women were joined by the likes of Kelle Bryan and Sunetra Sarker who also failed to cover up their disappointment over losing out for the 13th year running. The chat show was shortlisted for a gong in the Daytime TV category, but it lost out to rival The Chase.

Denise admitted “I have given up after so many years of it” and then showed the audience her fake smile that she has practised for years that hid her defeat.

She continued to make light of the situation with Kaye bursting into fits of laughter as she proceeded to clap and make a smirk.

Although Kaye revealed: “We did win once, when did we win?”. Denise confirmed that they last won a NTA back in 2010.

Making light of their long-running misery Holby City star Sunetra, 51, joked: “After 25 years there is no one that can compete with this show.” Audience members found the admission hilarious and gave her a roaring applause

Later on in the show they were joined by BBC Race Across The World star and Kola Bokinni who was said to of immediately cheered up Kaye.
